Classes

We offer a wide range of learning opportunities designed to support every child’s progress, confidence and wellbeing. Our classes are planned to be engaging, structured and inclusive, helping pupils build strong foundations for the next stage of their education.

In each class, children follow a carefully organised timetable that balances core learning with wider curriculum experiences. Teachers use clear routines and age-appropriate resources to support reading, writing and mathematics, while also developing knowledge and skills across subjects such as science, geography, history, art, design and technology, computing and religious education.

We encourage active participation through a variety of teaching approaches, including whole-class teaching, guided group work and independent activities. Children are given regular opportunities to practise key skills, ask questions and reflect on their learning. Staff also plan for different learning needs, ensuring that support and challenge are provided appropriately.

Our classrooms are calm, purposeful environments where children feel safe and valued. Behaviour expectations are consistent and rooted in our school values, with positive relationships at the heart of day-to-day learning. Parents are welcome to work in partnership with the school, sharing information that helps us support children effectively.

As your child settles into their year group, we will provide clear expectations and regular updates on progress. If you have any questions about class routines, learning activities or how to support learning at home, please contact the school office or your child’s teacher. We look forward to working together to help every pupil thrive.
